Gin Martini
Ingredients:
Dry Vermouth
Gin
Methods:
Stirred
Glassware:
Martini
Garnish:
Olive or Lemon Twist
What to do:
Chill a Martini Glass
60ml Gin
5ml Dry Vermouth
Classic Gin Martini is one of the easiest cocktails to make but also one of the easiest once to screw up. Personally i would ask the patron for his/her preference of Vermouth quantity.
This is the way I make it:
Fill martini glass with ice
Add 5ml of Vermouth on top of the ice
Swirl the glass, that way the inside of the glass gets coated by Vermouth
Add Gin and ice in a Boston glass and stir until cold
Discard the ice from the martini glass and shake, that way you get rid of most of the Vermouth
Strain chilled gin into the glass and garnish
I find this way there are no complaints
