Food and Hygiene

Business involved in the sale of food products have a legal obligation to ensure they are safe for consumption. Why not set yourself apart and demonstrate to your current or future employer you have the skills and knowledge to ensure food safety.

This course deals with the skills and knowledge required to follow key hygiene procedures which apply in hospitality and tourism enterprises.

  • General hazards in the handling of food and major causes of contamination and cross-infection
  • Sources of and reasons for food poisoning
  • Overview of relevant State/Territory legislation relating to food handling, personal and general hygiene

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised qualification THHGHSO1B Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures.
